This was one of the best summer trips I have ever been on, and it was even better having my brother travel along side with me. San Francisco was on the top of my places to visit, and I was lucky enough to stay there for a whole week of exploring. This was the first time my brother and I had ever been on the west coast, so we were definitely excited to see what's to come.
After we arrived at the SFO airport and got situated with our car rental, we drove straight to the hotel to drop our belongings down and headed to the Sutro Baths. We made it just in time to catch the sunset and soak up the fact that we were actually there, in California.
After catching the incredible sunset at the Sutro Baths, it was time to leave and get rest. We went for a drive through the city and grabbed a bite to eat at the many taco places available. The night was still young and we couldn't waste time doing nothing, so we headed up to Battery Spencer. There were a good amount of tourists still out at this time, I guess they had the same idea we did. After a few minutes of driving up and down the hills to find parking, we walked up the trail to Battery Spencer in the pitch black with nothing but our iPhone flashlights. I have to say, it was worth every frightening feeling I got on the way there.
Finally, the night was over and we now have a full day ahead of exploring the coast. Below, are some photos throughout our day.
To be continued, watch out for Day 3 of our trip!
